Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups unbleached flour
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 3/4 cup white sugar
- 2 sticks butter
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 bag of dark chocolate chips
- * Adapted from the original Toll House Cookie recipe
Directions
- Step 1 Preheat the oven to 350°F and lightly spray a 9″ x 13″ baking pan.
- Step 2 Mix together 2 sticks butter with brown and white sugar.
- Step 3 Add the 2 eggs and vanilla and blend in thoroughly.
- Step 4 Next, add the flour, baking soda, and cinnamon and blend together.
- Step 5 Spread the dough into the base of the baking pan. Note, the mixture is very thick and needs to be spread evenly to all edges of the pan.
- Step 6 Sprinkle the chocolate chips on top of the dough and place it in the hot oven for 3 minutes.
- Step 7 Remove from the oven and using a dull knife, place the blade into the dough and draw long lines through the dough and swirl the chocolate. See the picture below for an example.
- Step 8 Bake for 20 minutes and check to see if done. Toothpick into the dough area will come out clean. If you pierce through the chocolate you will get oohy gooey melted chocolate!
- Step 9 Enjoy!
