Rhubarb Sauce (v, V+, GF)

Ingredients
- 4 stalks of fresh rhubarb
- 1 cup of water
- 1/2 cup sugar
Directions
- Step 1 Wash the stalks and over a sink, peel the stalk by using a knife and scraping the outside skin away from you. It may spray a bit of red color but is really easy.
- Step 2 Next, cut into small equal slices.
- Step 3 Place the rhubarb pieces and water into a saucepan and stir over medium heat.
- Step 4 Add the sugar and continue to stir while it heats.
- Step 5 This process takes about 8 minutes.
- Step 6 You will know when it is done when the rhubarb has broken down out of its form and you have a thickened sauce.
- Step 7 Allow this to cool.
- Step 8 *** Use over ice cream, pancakes, cheesecake or as an accent to any sweet treat!
